Ah, our usual visit to the beautiful Old High Street took us right to the top to Objectables this evening. The decking outside was looking particularly interesting before the door even started… bright lights, props and what looked like a set, but for what we couldn’t tell!
When the door finally opened we were greeted by a wonderful performer who led us back towards the decking where a singing guitarist set the scene for tonights performance.
Half A Strings fantastic devised piece of theatre ‘The Snowsmith’ is a beautiful show full of puppetry, music and physical theatre.
The main character Ira is looking for a way to bring snow to the sad town of Thawmore and on her travels she meets some beautiful puppet friends and learns the secret of snow smithing.
We learned how to speak goat with some very friend alpine friends and got swept up into the belly of a whale during a turbulent river crossing, such amazing story telling had us all on the edge of our seats.
And you’ll never guess that at the end of the performance we had real snow! What a magical evening.
